Who is SOC America Inc.?
SOC America Inc. (formerly San-O Industrial Corporation) was established by SOC Corporation in 1975 to servce customers in North America. Initially it provided products manufactured at other worldwide locations. In 1981, SOC America began manufacturing fuses for the telecommunications market. These 'Made in the USA' telecommunication fuses and fuse holders are manufactured in the Holbrook, New York facility. SOC America provides fuse solutions for the engineering community in a broad base of markets. Some of these markets are medical, test& measurement, automotive (hybrid electric vehicles), aerospace, marine, audio/video, industrial automation, security, broadcast and telecommunications.

In many instances, selection of a slightly more expensive fuse that has a higher precision can result in a cost savings for components or circuits being protected. The most common result is the ability of the design engineer to employ a lower rated power component in the final design due to the higher precision of the fuse. This saves money on the component being protected, as well as generally providing a component with a smaller footprint.
